We're now looking for a motivated Transport Planner to join our Logistics team at Redhouse in Doncaster and help coordinate the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical products across our network.
The Role
As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for planning daily vehicle routes, coordinating with drivers and vehicle suppliers, and helping ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
You'll work within a busy logistics environment where patient safety and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) are central to how we operate.

Roles and Responsibilities
As our Transport Planner, you will:
- Book and plan customer orders onto available vehicles within agreed timeframes.
- Build efficient route plans while ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations.
- Produce and analyse performance information using spreadsheets and transport planning systems.
- Coordinate effectively with drivers, vehicle suppliers and Transport Managers.
- Check Proof of Deliveries (PODs) are processed correctly and investigate failed deliveries or other anomalies.
- Support customer communications, including onboarding calls, and help maintain TMS billing accuracy.
- Identify and suggest improvements to increase vehicle utilisation and route efficiency.
- Provide cover and support for Planning Supervisors when required.

We're looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and interested in building their career within logistics.
You'll have:
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with the confidence to learn new systems.
- A confident, professional and polite telephone manner.
- Excellent attention to detail with a flexible, "can do" approach.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within logistics.
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
