Job Summary
As a Coffee Machine Engineer, you will take ownership of site surveys, product installations, and both reactive and planned servicing across multiple coffee machine brands. Work will be assigned via our ERP system.
From the moment you arrive on site, you are representing Espresso Service. You will deliver outstanding customer service while carrying out work professionally, safely, and in line with best practice and our internal HCS policies.
You will take a proactive, methodical approach to diagnostics, with a strong focus on achieving high first-time fix rates and minimising return visits. Identifying and reporting potential future issues is a key part of the role, enabling the office team to plan preventative actions.
Responsibilities
- Complete service and repair works as assigned 80% on foot, 20% in van.
- Carry out site surveys and equipment installations.
- Complete all paperwork and administration accurately and on time.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers and the office team.
- Manage stock levels with 100% accuracy at the Exmouth Market location.
- Identify and report potential future issues.
- Support technical rollouts and projects across Central London.
- Maintain tools to the required standard, including company-supplied specialist tools.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable engineer with hands-on experience repairing both traditional and fully automatic coffee machines. Experience across multiple brands is highly beneficial.
You will have a strong understanding of coffee fundamentals, including grind calibration, extraction, and quality control, alongside a structured diagnostic approach and the ability to work independently.
Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience working on coffee machines (2+ year).
- Experience with both traditional and fully automatic equipment (desirable).
- Experience working across multiple coffee machine brands (desirable).
- A formal qualification to a high standard in Maths and English.
- Strong coffee knowledge and passion for quality.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
