Retail Assistant – Boutique At No 2
Location: Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Hours: 7.5 hours per week – 1 day per week
Additional hours: Holiday cover and extra hours available during busy periods
Salary: £13.00 per hour
About us
Boutique At No 2 is a ladies’ fashion, accessories and gift boutique based in the heart of Ross-on-Wye.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and flexible Retail Assistant to join our small team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys fashion, meeting people and providing excellent customer service.
The role
The position is for 1 day per week (7.5 hours) on a regular basis, (set day eaxh week) with additional hours available when required to cover holidays and during our busier times of year, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely flexible and would be happy to pick up additional shifts when needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers and providing a friendly, personal shopping experience
- Helping and advising customers with clothing, accessories and gift purchases
- Using your knowledge and enthusiasm for fashion to help customers find the right items
- Operating the till and processing payments
- Receiving, arranging and displaying new stock
- Creating and maintaining attractive window and in-store displays
- Keeping the boutique clean, tidy and looking its best
- General shopkeeping duties
- Helping with deliveries and stock when required
- Working as part of a small, friendly team
- Helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers
About you

- Naturally helpful with excellent customer service skills
- Confident speaking to customers and offering advice
- Well organised and able to work independently
- Flexible and willing to cover additional shifts when needed
- Comfortable working in a small boutique environment
- Presentable and enthusiastic
Previous retail experience is preferred, but personality, reliability and a genuine passion for fashion and customer service are just as important. Full training will be provided.
