Assistant HSEQ Advisor

N&T Civils Ltd specialises in all aspects of groundworks, including drainage, foundations, and site clearance. We deliver projects across the North East, including Teesside and County Durham and pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
We are looking to recruit an Assistant HSEQ Advisor to support our HSEQ Advisor in promoting and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone already working within a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality role who is looking to gain experience within the construction industry, or for a newly qualified individual looking to begin a rewarding career in HSEQ.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with a range of HSEQ duties, including:
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Assisting in ensuring company procedures are up to date and consistently followed.
- Helping to prepare and review risk assessments, including those relating to COSHH, LOLER, and other relevant legislation.
- Participating in monthly HSEQ review meetings and following up on agreed actions.
- Monitoring site housekeeping and maintenance standards.
- Assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of Health & Safety training.
- Working alongside all departments to complete and review risk assessments.
- Maintaining accurate records of audits, inspections, training, incidents and Health & Safety documentation.
- Supporting the HSEQ Advisor with general compliance and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications
- A NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in an HSEQ role would be advantageous, although newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
