Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production
- Manage food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are served attractively and promptly
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service to guests
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and high standards of service
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable

Pay: £12.21-£19.29 per hour
