Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Metal Fitter to join our dynamic team and contribute to the assembly and installation of complex metal structures. This role requires a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong mechanical background and hands-on experience working with various tools and assembly processes. As a Metal Fitter, you will play a vital part in ensuring precision, safety, and quality in all projects, supporting our commitment to excellence and efficiency.
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately assemble metal components.
- Use hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices to fit and secure metal parts.
- Operate power tools including drills, grinders, welders, and cutting equipment to shape and join metal pieces.
- Assemble metal structures or machinery by aligning parts, welding, bolting, or riveting as required.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the warehouse or fabrication area for optimal safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during assembly or installation phases, ensuring timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in metal fitting or fabrication roles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes for metal structures or machinery.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred to support logistical coordination.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with good manual dexterity.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to help solve problems on site

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Licence/Certification:
- CSCS (preferred)
- Full UK Drivers Licence (preferred)
