We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team.
40 to 45 hour a week drive time, permanent job direct with us
Wages start at 13pounds,
In oct 1st this increases to 13.25
and
Jan 1st this increases to 13.50
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics services. You must have a clean UK licence and have 4 years of driving experience.
Driver must be 30+ years old
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within specified timeframes
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and completing delivery logs
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during transportation and loading activities
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy loads is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina
- Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation systems for efficient deliveries
