We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Carer to provide exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in their own homes. Duties
- Provide comprehensive personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to clients with various health conditions
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities
- Support clients with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry to maintain a clean and comfortable living space
- Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, or other chronic conditions through behavior management and tailored support strategies
- Monitor health status by observing symptoms, reporting changes promptly, and coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, or social activities safely using your own vehicle or company arrangements
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with a focus on patient safety and comfort
- Strong caregiving skills with knowledge of nursing home procedures and senior care best practices
- Expertise in dementia care, Alzheimer’s support, multiple sclerosis, hospice care, and managing behavioral challenges
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Ability to administer medications accurately and perform basic first aid in emergencies
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks combined with patience and empathy for sensitive situations
- Capable of meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements and managing behavior effectively during caregiving routines
- Being comfortable with dogs
