Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the organisation’s financial operations by assisting with data entry, accounts payable, and utilisation of various accounting software programmes. Duties
- Assist with data entry related to financial transactions using accounting software ERP MS dynamics 365.
- Handle routine accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support month-end closing and management reporting activities
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal finance procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK accounting, tax, and statutory requirements
- Assist with matters related to VAT, corporation tax, payroll-related accounting, customs, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams on finance-related matters
- Support general accounting, reporting, and operational finance tasks as required
- Experience
- 1 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Relevant accounting experience in the UK
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Working knowledge of relevant UK tax laws, including VAT, corporation tax, and customs-related procedures
- Practical experience in handling accounting functions
- Qualification in accounting/finance, such as BCom, MCom, or equivalent
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
