We are recruiting a Trainee Service Engineer to join our team.
There will be in house training given by members of the Service team but a background in electrics or plumbing would be beneficial.
The role involves carrying out electrical and engineering services and repairs that are required on our customers machinery and new build machinery. The role is based on site in Chessington only - so there is no travelling.
All new equipment is tested and marked in accordance with latest regulations or standards and supplied with up-to-date operation manuals and parts lists.
the role also involves ensuring that all repaired equipment is properly inspected and electrically (PAT) tested before return to customer.
There will be liaison with Service and Despatch Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Department, Stock Control and Despatch, with regard to customer service issues and efficient order processing.
After training, the role will involve the furnishing of estimates and quotations for repairs where required by customer or in case of high value repair.
Part of the role involves Stock control and stores running in conjunction with Service and Despatch Manager and Purchasing Manager and team members.
Issuing correct items of equipment from the stores for packaging by despatch IE; accessories and spares in accordance with our sales orders and delivery notes.
A background of similar position would be ideal but not essential as in house training will be given.
Fork lift skills would be beneficial too but again, we carry out our own training and assessments and applicants will be expected to become proficient in using the FLT.
