Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our Parlour. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional grooming services ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to client preferences and breed standards
- Handle animals with care and patience, ensuring their safety and well-being during grooming procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work area
- Monitor animals for signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during grooming activities
Skills
- Previous experience in Dog Grooming or animal grooming is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of animal behaviour and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending during grooming sessions
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure each pet’s grooming needs are met precisely
- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
