Do you love building software but not being micromanaged?
Are you looking for a development role where you’re trusted to get on with the job?
Do you want your work to actually make an impact, not just sit in the background?
This is a full-time, permanent Software Developer role within a growing technology business, focused on CRM, VoIP and business communication integrations.
Working pattern & location
Primarily office-based.
Earnings
£50,000 – £60,000 salary depending on experience.
No moving goalposts, just a clear, competitive package based on your background.
What you’ll actually be doing
You’ll join a small, collaborative development team where your input genuinely matters. This isn’t a “sit in a corner and code” role – you’ll be involved in shaping how things are built.
- Designing, developing and maintaining business applications and integrations
- Building connections between VoIP platforms (including 8x8), CRM systems and third-party applications
- Developing APIs and backend services to meet customer requirements
- Troubleshooting, debugging and optimising existing applications
- Working closely with internal teams to understand business needs and technical requirements
- Contributing ideas to improve products, processes and overall user experience
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to tick every box, but you should feel confident working in a hands-on development environment.
- Commercial experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer
- Experience building APIs, integrations or business applications
- Exposure to CRM platforms
- Understanding of VoIP, telecoms or unified communications technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience with platforms like 8x8 or similar UC/VoIP systems
- Background in telecoms, contact centre technology or cloud communications
A bit about the environment
This is a business that treats developers like adults.
- You’ll be given autonomy – no micromanagement
- Your ideas will be listened to and genuinely considered
- There’s a focus on continuous improvement, not blame
- It’s a collaborative, supportive team where people help each other out
- The goal is simple: build quality solutions and do good work
You’ll be joining a team that values trust, technical ability and getting things done properly.
