Roads & Sewers Site Manager – Civil Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Roads & Sewers Site Manager to oversee delivery of infrastructure works on new housing and commercial development sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adoptable highways, deep drainage, and site infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Roads & sewers supervision — Managing construction of adoptable roads, sewers, drainage, and associated infrastructure
- Programme management — Ensuring works run to schedule and meet technical specifications
- Quality control — Overseeing inspections, testing, and compliance with local authority standards
- Subcontractor coordination — Daily management of groundworks teams and plant
- Health & safety leadership — Enforcing RAMS, site rules, and safe systems of work
Requirements
- Extensive roads & sewers experience on residential or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Section 38 / Section 104 adoption processes
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- CSCS (required)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
