Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations including London, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery or warehouse environments, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers and clients across designated routes
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky products, with proper handling techniques
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes and according to route plans
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
- Complete relevant paperwork or electronic documentation for each delivery accurately
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Requirements
- The right candidate should live within commuting distance to our depot in Colchester.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling logistics is advantageous
- Reliable transportation to reach the starting point of shifts
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and punctuality
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools is preferred
