Carer, Support Worker for Semi-Retired Disabled Professional – Steve – training on-the-job
Who am I? – Job starts as soon as you are available – 2 days per week (3-4 hours per day)
· Fun loving, hard-working, sociable wheelchair user.
· Ex-rugby player who broke my neck 45 years ago.
· Paralysed from the neck down with wide-ranging support needs.
· Family man (65 years old but feel not a day over 30) with four adult children.
· Main work includes Director Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Winchester, Basingstoke & Andover)
· Passionate about improving the life chances of disabled people.
Who are you?
· Outgoing, fun to be around and friendly (18-65 years of age).
· Hard-working, meticulous and caring – includes personal care needs.
· Not necessarily trained but willing to learn on-the-job.
· Interested in earning up to £15 per hour PAYE with pension and paid holidays. At weekends £22.50 per hour
· Willing to work 2 days per week – entirely flexible – 3 hours a.m. (8- 11) & 1.5 hours p.m. (7.30-9.00).
· Keen to work flexibly with occasional weekends.
· Happy to help with other domestic tasks.
· Able to work alone and under instructions.
· Self-motivated and keen to do the job to the very best of your ability.
· Holiday cover required for my other carer for 4 weeks every year.
· Preferably driver and occasional overnight stays (paid 50% whilst asleep!)
This job would suit somebody living near West Tytherley or surrounding villages – SP5 1NF near Stockbridge in Hampshire. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided on the job.
