Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Dental Nurse to join a friendly modern dental practice in Swindon, Wiltshire. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the dental team, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after dental procedures, ensuring comfort and reassurance.
- Assist dentists during various treatments, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Support infection control protocols, sterilising instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
- Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and optimise the daily timetable to enhance clinic efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and post-treatment care instructions clearly.
- Oversee stock levels of dental supplies and order as necessary to maintain operational continuity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Additional qualifications e.g. Radiography, Sedation are desirable but not mandatory (training will be offered)
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient wellbeing.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with patients and team members.
- Knowledge of IT systems relevant to dental practice management.
- recognised Nursing qualification or registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Pay: £29,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
