Duties
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Bake fresh goods such as bread, pastries, and cakes, adhering to recipes and food safety standards.
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Assist in creating an inviting atmosphere by engaging with customers positively and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or baker is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
