The Archertype is one of Manchester's top Fun & Games activity locations, delivering unforgettable experiences for birthdays, stag and hen parties, corporate events, and family celebrations. We operate two main concepts: Outplayed: The Gameshow, an immersive live gameshow experience where guests compete in trivia rounds, challenges, and head-to-head face-offs as well as Combat Archery - an archery dodgeball activity.
We're looking for a confident, energetic individual to help host both experiences and create memorable moments for our customers.
The Role
As a Gameshow Host & Combat Archery Coach, you'll be the face of the experience, welcoming guests, hosting activities, and ensuring every group has an amazing time.
Responsibilities
- Host live gameshow experiences for Outplayed the Gameshow.
- Lead challenges, trivia rounds, and interactive games.
- Teach and referee Combat Archery sessions.
- Deliver clear instructions and maintain safety standards.
- Engage groups with enthusiasm, humour, and energy.
- Take photos and help create a memorable customer experience.
- Assist with venue setup, resets, cleaning, and opening/closing duties.
- Ensure guests are having fun while following venue rules.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to entertain and interact with groups of all ages.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Positive attitude and ability to think on your feet.
- Minimum 1 year of customer-facing experience.
Desirable Experience
- Event hosting, gameshow hosting, or presenting.
- Sports coaching or refereeing.
- Leadership experience.
- Working with teenagers and young people.
- Hospitality, leisure, or entertainment experience.
