Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Operations Administrator to join our Aberdeen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within transport and logistics.
The Role
Working closely with our Transport Planners and Operations team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of transport activities.
This role offers hands-on experience within a busy transport environment and provides opportunities for training and career progression within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Transport and Operations team.
- Process and maintain transport documentation, job files and records.
- Input and update information accurately within company systems.
- Monitor and manage transport paperwork, including delivery notes and proof of delivery documentation.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding transport activities.
- Track and update job statuses and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with reporting and general office administration duties.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Full right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Previous administration experience.
- Experience within transport, logistics, shipping or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of transport documentation and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with transport management systems.
