The Royal Victoria Hotel is a busy 104-bedroom hotel uniquely located at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) within Eryri National Park, set in 30 acres of private gardens and woodland in the beautiful village of Llanberis.
Our hotel features an AA Rosette restaurant, a popular dining and bar operation, and an award-winning wedding and events venue. Our team members are key to our success, and we are proud to employ many long-serving staff.
About the Role
As a Food & Beverage Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing friendly, professional and attentive service to guests throughout their dining experience.
Preparing and setting up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special dining occasions.
Taking guest orders accurately and ensuring food and drinks are served promptly.
Developing a good knowledge of our menus, specials, allergens and beverage offerings.
Recommending additional menu items and products to enhance the guest experience and support revenue.
Keeping tables clean, tidy and presented to a high standard.
Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with licensing requirements and company procedures.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and stock levels within the bar.
Supporting weddings, conferences, meetings, private dining and other hotel events.
Assisting with plated meals, buffets, banquets and receptions.
Ensuring function rooms are set up and presented to the required standard and within agreed timescales.
Responding positively to guest enquiries and dealing with minor issues professionally, escalating where appropriate.
Operating tills and processing payments accurately.
Supporting stock rotation and replenishment.
Working closely with colleagues across the Restaurant, Kitchen, Reception and Housekeeping teams.
Following all food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures.

Previous hospitality or restaurant experience would be an advantage, but attitude and a genuine commitment to excellent guest service are just as important.
