1. Operational Excellence & Lifecycle Management (Trade Flow & Control)
Take hands-on ownership of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution, excellent production quality, and robust day-to-day controls.
Process Ownership: Drive accountability for day-to-day Trade Support production, fostering a high-performance culture across the entire production chain.
Data Integrity & Control: Perform first-level controls of manually booked trades at inception (verifying economic details, booking specificities, and system technicalities) to ensure all trades are accurately captured for P&L and risk on trade date.
Booking Support & Validation: Partner with Front Office (FO) to assist with trade bookings when required, adhering strictly to the roles & responsibilities matrix and embedded four-eye check protocols.
Trade Modification Ownership: Act as the primary gatekeeper for trade amendments and cancellations. Analyze, challenge, and measure the impact of changes to Primary Economic Terms, executing amendments only under authorized Trader approval.
Complex Workflows: Coordinate approvals with Market Risk and Quantitative teams for non-economic amendments (e.g., model or risk representations), subsequently executing and reporting impacts to traders.
2. Risk Mitigation & Advisory (Control & Compliance)
Act as the first line of defence, proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating operational and financial risks.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively design, propose, and reinforce ad-hoc controls and reconciliations across products to minimize operational risk.
Product Expertise: Maintain a deep, end-to-end understanding of complex trade lifecycles, transaction structures, associated hedging, and risk representations.
Ad-Hoc Control & Reporting: Deliver critical ad-hoc reporting (e.g., Hit/Miss, CC reports) and serve as the main point of contact for inquiries from transversal control functions, including Internal Audit, Compliance, Anti-Fraud, and Global Market Operations (GMO).
3. Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building (Collaboration & Communication)
Serve as the vital connective tissue between the Front Office and downstream departments, ensuring seamless communication.
Front Office Partnership: Build trusted, high-impact relationships with Front Office Traders and Sales, delivering a premium level of service while upholding internal frameworks and policies.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Champion efficient, transparent communication across the entire post-trade ecosystem, coordinating seamlessly between FO, Product Control, Middle Office, and Back Office (BO).
Knowledge Transfer: Liaise closely with Head Office-based Trade Support to absorb specialized knowledge and successfully establish and document London desk-specific processes.
4. Lifecycle Events, Innovation & Change (Agility & Evolution)
Manage complex portfolio events and contribute to the evolution of the business through agile problem-solving.
Event Monitoring: Oversee critical portfolio lifecycle events impacting internal and external positions, including future expiries, EOM deliverables, and complex conditional payoffs.
Event Generation: Manage post-trade lifecycle calculations and manual bookings (e.g., option expiries and manual payoff calculations).
Business Enablement: Support new business initiatives and product line rollouts using agile problem-solving skills to design and implement robust operational solutions.
