Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials before appointments
- Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and offering reassurance
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Sterilise and disinfect dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support patients with post-treatment advice and answer any queries they may have
- Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise practice workflow
- Ensure the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of nursing principles applied within a dental context
- Competent IT skills for managing patient records and practice management software
- Excellent organisational skills to coordinate appointments and maintain clinical standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
- A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is preferred but not essential for internship positions
- A caring attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
