We are recruiting an Housing Options Officer to support the New Homes Officers with the allocation and letting of homes. You'll guide housing applicants through the process, provide advice on housing options, complete verification checks, carry out visits and viewings with customers and help create sustainable tenancies in line with North Tyneside Council's Lettings Policy.
We are looking for a motivated, well organised individual with a strong customer focus. Experience in social housing and knowledge of allocations and lettings is desirable. You'll also work with vulnerable households, requiring an understanding of the safeguarding agenda and be repsonsible for maximising rental income and minimising void loss
The successful candidate
The successful candidate will have an awareness of social housing allocations and lettings processes. You will also have awareness of a range of policies and procedures relating to allocations such as homelessness and domestic abuse. We welcome applications if you have transferable skills from similar roles. You will also have excellent customer service skills.
