Call Lane Social is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading our team and delivering an exceptional late-night bar experience.
We are a venue built on energy, atmosphere, and reputation—known for being one of the most established late-night destinations in Leeds. This is not a quiet service environment; it’s high-volume, high-energy, and driven by people who know how to run a room when it’s at its busiest and most alive.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, has strong leadership skills, and brings a genuine passion for hospitality. We’re looking for a true party starter—someone who leads from the front and sets the tone for unforgettable nights.
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue, supporting the team, driving performance, and ensuring every guest experience reflects the reputation we’ve built late into the night.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the smooth running of all daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, atmosphere, and compliance
- Lead, motivate, and develop the bar team to consistently deliver outstanding guest experiences
- Take responsibility for running busy shifts in a high-volume, late-night environment
- Help drive sales, manage budgets, and support stock control and monthly stocktakes
- Be a party starter—actively shaping the energy of the venue and leading by example on the floor
- Uphold and enhance the venue’s reputation as a leading late-night destination
- Ensure the bar consistently delivers a high-energy, packed-out atmosphere at peak trading times
- Contribute to hosting and delivering events that reinforce the venue’s strong nightlife identity
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within hospitality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Experience working in high-energy, late-night environments
- Confidence managing high-volume trading periods
- Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
