Overview
Join our team as an Instrumentation & Service Technician, where you'll play a vital role in assembling, maintaining and troubleshooting complex instrumentation systems. The role will involve working both at our production facility and at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Assembly, essential functionality testing, servicing and installing upgrades of instrumentation systems in accordance with technical specifications and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using detailed schematics, CAD drawings, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation to diagnose faults accurately.
- Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform system upgrades and modifications by applying mechanical knowledge and electrical experience.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications thoroughly for compliance and future reference.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand equipment components and assemblies.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Solid background in electro mechanical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards.
