Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty tipper trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various sites. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with a strong commitment to safety and punctuality, will ensure smooth operations and uphold our reputation for reliability. Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 tipper trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load, transport, and unload materials accurately at designated sites, ensuring proper handling and secure delivery
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records for accountability and reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols during tipping operations, ensuring environmental standards are met during material discharge
- Assist with routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately to minimize downtime
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with delivery or tipping operations
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid Class 1 license
- Familiarity with flatbed or similar truck types is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and site staff
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Monday to Friday with Staurday mornings when required. Nights out are required but not out all week
