The role of Shop Manager at Birch Bread will involve overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring quality and consistency of bakery items, managing the team, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Please note, this role is based at our bakery in Pangbourne, West Berkshire.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing Shop Operations: Manage stock requirements, sales, and staff coordination.
- Ensuring Quality and Consistency: Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
- Inventory and Supplies: Managing inventory levels, ordering ingredients and supplies, and ensuring proper storage and handling
- Customer Service: Addressing customer complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction, and maintaining the bakery’s reputation
- Developing Creative Strategies: Arranging displays to attract customers, increase productivity and sales through innovative strategies.
- Financial Management: Maintaining accurate financial records, creating budgets, managing cost controls, and achieving sales targets
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating bakery staff to maintain productivity and quality standards
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, keeping the bakery clean and tidy at all times.
- Setting Bakery Goals: Work with management to set and achieve bakery goals and initiatives.
