Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
- Ensure high standards of infection control and hygiene are adhered to at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Offer reassurance and clear communication to patients, addressing their concerns professionally
- Manage stock levels of dental supplies and order as necessary to ensure smooth clinic operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of patient care procedures and nursing practices within a dental environment is advantageous
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a tidy, well-organised work environment
- Fluency in English is required to ensure clear communication with patients and team members
