Every Sunday with occasional Saturday's and holiday cover. (Possibly the option for a weekday shift but not a necessity)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic café assistant/barista Team Member to join our passionate , hard working, lovely team. The role is for every Sunday with odd Saturdays, must also be able to cover extra in holiday times. We are closed for the majority of the Christmas holidays. Applicants must be available to work Sundays and be over 18.
Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming guests, making drinks including coffee machine work, taking orders, washing up, cleaning, handling money, cashing up and closing the business.
When fully trained applicants will be required to work Sundays, 10am start with finishing times varying between 3.30 - 5pm once fully trained. Will be required to cover some Saturdays and holiday cover.
Responsibilities
- Cutting cakes
- Handling cash and cashing up
- Closing the business on your own
- Greeting customers and taking orders
- Making drinks (including use of coffee machine)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules
- Washing up (we don't have a dishwasher!)
Qualifications
- Previous experience with a coffee machine is preferable but not essential.
- A passion for chatting to people is a must.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
- Confident in closing the business alone when fully trained.
