Candidates must have their NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce. Must also have at least 2 years experiences within Residential Childcare and working alongside young people.
What will I do as a Deputy Manager working for Willow tree kids Children's Homes?
- Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a child’s life. Helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face - allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support. They may also require your guidance within education, training and employment.
- Within this leadership role, you will not only ensure the welfare and care of each child but also give guidance and support to all residential workers.
- You will be committed to making a difference, this includes being responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas and making sure that education is supported.
- You will have a great work/life balance. Our rota pattern which includes some evenings and weekends ensures consistency for the children and young people whilst providing you with flexibility and the means for training and progression.

Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Registered Manager to transition smoothly into your leadership role.
- Lead and manage the home to ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and provide outstanding care.
- Oversee all safeguarding matters, ensuring the protection and well-being of the children in your care.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Inspire, develop, and manage your team using a therapeutic, child-focused approach.
- Maintain effective operations including staffing, budgeting, and adherence to policies and procedures.
