Sticky Faces Nursery is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our friendly team from 7th September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and would like to start their Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in a welcoming nursery setting.
Hours:
Monday to Friday
12:00pm – 5:00pm
Term-time only
As an apprentice, you will support children's learning and development through play, help create a safe and nurturing environment, work alongside experienced practitioners, and build your knowledge and skills while completing your qualification.

Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development and learning.
- Assist qualified practitioners in supervising children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff to support individual learning plans.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance childcare skills.
- Support the implementation of policies related to safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusion.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
Skills and Qualities
- Demonstrated interest or experience working with children, ideally within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding policies and maintaining professional standards at all times.
- Willingness to undertake training programmes leading to Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification during the apprenticeship period.
- Caring, patient and kind nature.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Positive attitude and a good work ethic.
- Able to build warm relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards the required qualifications if applicable).
Please note: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. The successful applicant will also be required to complete Paediatric First Aid training, which may take place on a Saturday, along with all mandatory safeguarding and statutory training.
This role provides valuable hands-on experience in early years education while fostering personal growth within a supportive team environment.
Salary: Starting from £8.00–£10.00 per hour (depending on experience and suitability) for the first year of the apprenticeship. After the first year, pay will increase in line with the National Minimum Wage applicable to the apprentice's age, in accordance with UK Government guidance.
