Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Personal Assistant/Carer to provide dedicated support an elderly lady of Asian background requiring assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily routines such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support with medication management according to care plans and health guidelines
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being and social engagement
- Drive the individual to appointments, errands, or social activities using a suitable vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes in needs
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to confidentiality standards at all times
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Prior experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in English for clear communication and documentation purposes
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation electronically
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and interact positively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including health and safety regulations
