We are a family-run automotive business looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Mechanic / MOT Tester to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect and diagnose vehicle faults
- Carry out servicing and routine maintenance, including oil changes, brakes and tyres
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Diagnose, repair and replace suspension and steering components
- Carry out MOT testing where qualified
- Replace faulty or worn parts using the correct tools and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
- Communicate clearly with the front office regarding work completed and any additional repairs required
- Work efficiently as part of the workshop team
- Follow all health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive repair
- Proven experience working as a mechanic/vehicle technician
- MOT Tester qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Good experience with brakes, suspension and steering systems
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Relevant automotive repair qualifications
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude
