We are currently recruiting for Delivery Driver to join our Gafoor Team on permanent basis as follows:
- Full-time position; shifts may include early mornings and occasional weekends as required.
- Monday – Sunday – circa 40 hours a week

Located in Preston, Gafoor is family business which operates from a purpose-built modern plant producing fresh-quality, just-in-time chicken for our valued customers.
The role:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team, responsible for delivering poultry products to local customers as well as regional routes including Bradford and Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving license with Category B entitlement and a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Deliver poultry products to customers across Preston and surrounding areas, including scheduled deliveries to Bradford and Warrington.
- Load and unload products carefully, ensuring temperature and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Perform vehicle safety checks and ensure the van is clean and roadworthy.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and log sheets.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customers.
- Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Clean UK driving license with Category B entitlement (required).
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred, ideally with perishable goods.
- Ability to handle physical work, including loading and unloading deliveries.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
The rate of pay is the competitive rate of:
- Hourly rate – £12.71 per hour, Overtime rate - £15.88 per hour
- Weekly Pay (Before taxes) – up to circa £508.40 per week
- Salary (Before taxes) – up to circa £26,436.80per annum
