About the Role:
Active8 Minds West Sussex is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and energetic Holiday Club Manager to lead the delivery of our exciting holiday club programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the club, ensuring children have a safe, engaging and enjoyable experience whilst maintaining the highest standards of care, safeguarding and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operation of the holiday club, ensuring sessions run smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead, support and motivate a team of Play Workers and Activity Leaders.
- Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and company policies are followed at all times.
- Deliver and oversee a varied programme of sports, games, arts, crafts and enrichment activities.
- Maintain accurate registers, accident records and other required documentation.
- Act as the main point of contact for parents, carers and venue staff.
- Manage staffing levels, breaks and activity schedules throughout the day.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.
- Support children with varying needs and abilities to participate fully in activities.
- Ensure equipment and resources are used safely and stored appropriately.
- Represent Active8 Minds professionally and positively at all times.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, sports coaching or holiday club setting.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Relevant childcare, teaching, sports coaching or playwork qualification.
- Experience managing holiday clubs, wraparound care or extracurricular activities.
