Responsibilities
- Assist with materials handling tasks including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Use the warehouse management system to track inventory levels, update stock records, and ensure data accuracy.
- Pick and pack customer orders efficiently, ensuring correct items are prepared for dispatch.
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
- Conduct quality control checks on products to identify damages or discrepancies before storage or shipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, performing regular equipment checks, and assisting with heavy lifting when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous; certification is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge can help with troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software will help you adapt quickly to our processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for this role.
- Strong attention to detail combined with good organizational skills will ensure accuracy in stock management and order fulfillment.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
