Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work. Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish metal products.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into final products or structures.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Practical knowledge of fabrication processes.
- Competence in handling hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of various fabrication machinery is desirable.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.
