Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and resilient Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential home, providing high‑quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people.
You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring it operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards, while creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment for both young people and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Registered with Ofsted, maintaining full regulatory compliance
* Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the staff team
* Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and risk management
* Lead on recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and development of staff
* Promote a positive, child‑centred culture that supports emotional wellbeing and achievement
* Manage budgets and resources effectively
* Maintain accurate records and prepare for inspections
* Work in partnership with placing authorities, families, and external professionals
About You
You will be a confident and experienced leader with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
Essential Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting, including leadership/management experience
* Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
* Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice
* Enhanced DBS check (required)
* Experience managing an Ofsted‑registered home
* Experience supporting children with complex needs
* Track record of achieving good or outstanding Ofsted outcomes

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
