Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive dining experience
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Support food preparation activities as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the service area
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing attentive customer service
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and perform basic maths calculations for billing purposes
- Assist in setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high standards of service
Skills
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Ability to prepare simple food items and support kitchen activities when required
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately and upselling products confidently
- A friendly, professional demeanour with a positive attitude towards teamwork and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
