Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Minister of Religion to serve as a spiritual leader and guide within our community. This vital role involves fostering spiritual growth, providing pastoral care, and supporting individuals through life’s milestones and challenges. The Minister of Religion will inspire faith, nurture community bonds, and promote values of compassion, understanding, and service. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by leading worship services, mentoring congregation members, and engaging in outreach initiatives that strengthen our collective spiritual journey.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regular worship services, ceremonies, and religious events that resonate with diverse community members.
- Offer pastoral care and counseling to individuals and families facing personal or spiritual difficulties.
- Develop and implement educational programs, including teaching religious principles and facilitating faith-based discussions.
- Mentor and support lay leaders, volunteers, and congregation members to foster leadership within the community.
- Coordinate outreach activities, charitable initiatives, and fundraising efforts to serve those in need.
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote social justice, wellness, and spiritual enrichment.
- Provide guidance on rites of passage such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other significant life events.
- Teach the doctrine and tenets of Celestial Church of Christ.
- Coordinate the Evangelism team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching religious studies or related fields with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in community or faith-based settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to mentoring and counseling.
- Experience working with children and diverse age groups within a spiritual context.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles for providing end-of-life spiritual support.
- Ability to organize fundraising activities aligned with community service goals.
- Relevant theological education or ordination from an accredited institution is preferred.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
