FULL DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED - Role includes driving individuals to day services - car provided for staff over 21 years of age.
We are looking for someone with person centered qualities to join a team of support workers helping vulnerable adults with personal care, medication, driving them to their day services, collection from day services and help with dinner time preparation.
Role would suit someone looking for part time hours.
4 Week rolling master Rota in place to ensure staff have work-life balance and able to plan around their shifts.
Overtime opportunities available.
Your primary responsibility will be working from one of our supported living homes based in the Pontypool area supporting 3 individuals to live a fulfilled life as independently as their disabilities allow and to achieve outcomes that are important to them.
This role requires someone who is happy to work as part of a team and is happy to work their share of day/evening/sleep over's.
On-Call opportunities are available but not a requirement of the role which can include sleepovers,
The great thing about this job is that you do not have to be qualified in the field; we only ask that you have a patient and motivated approach and a willingness to learn. We offer full comprehensive induction training and the opportunity to complete a HSC in Health & Social Care.
Paid induction and external training.
The role may include the following tasks:
· Providing support in all daily living activities to suit the needs and wishes of the individuals'
· Supporting service users to budget their money, shopping in the community, attend social activities and clubs, keep a clean home, cook meals, administer medication and with any personal care need's
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for maximising a service users independence and helping them to lead varied and fulfilled lives and achieve their personal outcomes important to them.
We are looking for someone with the motivation to make a difference in the lives of those we support and help service users maximise their independence and potential.
As we support service users 24 hours a day, the working pattern will include some day, evening, sleepover and weekend shifts.
This post requires registration to Social care Wales within 6 months of employment.
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and the cost of which will be met by us.
Salary: Starting at £13.45 per hour. £67 per sleep. (11pm-7am)
