Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Team Member to join our vibrant café team in our new adventure at The Old Hall Cafe & Walks Southwold.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service within a dynamic setting, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Hours will be a minimum of 28 hours per week. The cafe is open 7 days a week your shift will range between Monday - Sunday from 08:30-17:30
Duties
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee and speciality drinks, adhering to quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as assembling sandwiches or salads as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Provide friendly assistance and respond to customer enquiries courteously
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
