About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a full time, Clinical Laboratory Administration Manager in the Genetics and Molecular Pathology Department, based in Central London. Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated individuals for a permanent administration manager of this multidisciplinary department encompassing the Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics teams.
Duties will include the management of day to day running of a small administration team. This will include entering patient results onto databases and producing reports, faxing/emailing reports to hospitals/clients and receiving and immediately acting upon incoming calls and emails to the department. Excellent telephone manner and data entry skills are essential. They will work closely with Clinical Scientists and the Genetics team to ensure reports are produced and delivered in a timely manner. They will also liaise with the Finance department to resolve any invoice queries raised by patients/clients.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and administration experience, ideally within a medical environment. Experience in managing staff would be beneficial. The working hours are 08.30 – 17.00pm, Mon – Fri.
