We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team for Van and Trailer work. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, excellent communication skills, and the physical capability to handle heavy lifting tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to our logistics and supply chain operations.
Duties
- Safely operate vans and trailers for the transportation of goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management and stock organisation when required
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to load or unload goods safely
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in similar commercial driving roles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience Van and Trailer work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving
- Physically fit with the stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual handling tasks
- Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Minimum 2 years experience driving Vans & trailers per the requirements for our client
This role is suitable for individuals committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery within a logistics environment.
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
