Design Room Assistant

Are you passionate about fashion with a keen eye for detail and a love for luxury womenswear? We are looking for a creative and highly organised Design Room Assistant to join our fast-paced design studio.
This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across every stage of the design and development process, from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with pattern cutting and garment development
- Drafting and grading patterns
- Supporting the design and development of new collections
- Researching seasonal fashion, colour and fabric trends
- Sourcing and selecting fabrics, trims and accessories
- Creating and developing original print and fabric concepts
- Preparing samples and maintaining the design room
- Working closely with the production team to ensure the highest quality standards
- Assisting with fittings and garment amendments
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has a genuine passion for fashion and luxury womenswear
- Has knowledge of pattern cutting, drafting and grading
- Has a strong understanding of garment construction
- Has an eye for colour, fabric and emerging trends
- Is creative with excellent attention to detail
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Is organised, proactive and eager to learn
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience within a fashion design studio
- Knowledge of pattern cutting software (advantageous but not essential)
- Fashion Design or Fashion Technology qualification preferred
