Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Day Driver to join our team.
Duties
- Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle on scheduled routes during daytime hours
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to various locations, adhering to delivery schedules
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and mileage logs
- Follow all relevant road safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour whilst representing the companyQualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with Curtain side vehicles or similar equipment
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for documentation purposes
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
