Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the booking system
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared promptly
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold hotel policies regarding safety, security, and confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in both written and spoken English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly, approachable manner with a professional appearance
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service principles is desirable
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
