Supervisor/ Duty Manager
£14.50 + Tips
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and confident supervisor/ duty manager to join our team. Tips are shared fairly amongst the team and are paid in addition to your hourly rate.
This is an important role within the business, supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager and taking responsibility for the smooth running of the pub when senior management are not on site.
We are looking for someone who has previous supervisory or duty management experience within a pub, restaurant, bar or similar hospitality enviroment, and who is confident taking charge of a shift and leading a team.
The role will include:
- Opening and closing of the pub
- Acting as a key holder and taking responsibility for the building when required
- Taking charge of shifts in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager
- Leading, supporting and motivating the team throughout service
- Cashing up at the end of the day
- Confidently dealing with any till or payment issues
- Ensuring excellent customer service and maintain our high standards throughout the pub
- Managing busy services calmly and efficiently
- Dealing confidently with customer enquiries and resolving issues when necessary
- Supporting with stock control, deliveries and general opening/closing procedures
- Ensuring the pub is clean, safe and ready for service
- Following company procedures for cash handling, licensing, health and safety and opening/closing
- Communicating effectively with the management team and repoting any issues
We are looking for somebody who is:
- Experienced in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality
- Confident taking responsibility and making decisions independently
- Reliable, organised and trustworthy
- Comfortable leading a team and giving direction
- Experienced with tills/EPOS systems and confident with cashing up
- Comfortable opening and closing a busy pub/restaurant
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Friendly, approachable and passionate about delivering great customer service
- Flexiable and available to work evenings and weekends
- A strong team player who takes pride in maintaining high standards
Previous experience as Supervisor/ Duty Manager, Shift Manager or similar is essential
