Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring they deliver compassionate, person-centered care tailored to each child's needs
- Oversee daily residential operations, maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for children and staff alike
- Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies related to children's residential care
- Foster effective communication within the team, children, families, and external agencies to promote transparency and teamwork
- Support staff development through supervision, training, and mentoring to enhance their skills and confidence
- Manage driving responsibilities for transporting children safely to activities, appointments, or outings as needed
Requirements
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting involving children or vulnerable young people
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Knowledge of care planning processes and the ability to develop tailored support strategies for children
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices for transporting young people
- Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping, care plans, and reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality of care
- Experience working within regulatory frameworks governing children's residential services is desirable

Pay: £25,420.00-£50,999.55 per year
