Data Analyst
Contract | Remote | UK Public Sector Project
Overview
Ceox Services is seeking a Data Analyst to support data analysis and data engineering activities across internal systems and connected applications. You will play a key role in gathering and translating business requirements, engaging directly with stakeholders, and structuring the data models that underpin decision-making across the programme. This role involves working across complex datasets, enhancing reporting capability, and shaping data foundations for wider organisational use.
Who We’re Looking For
An experienced Data Analyst with strong analytical ability, capable of gathering requirements from stakeholders, interpreting large data sets, validating information from multiple sources, and producing clear visual insights. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and programme leads to understand data structures, reporting requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
You should be confident engaging with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, exploring data behaviour across systems, identifying quality or structural issues, and applying logic to uncover trends, risks, and correlations. If you are someone who enjoys working closely with the business to turn requirements into robust data solutions and transform raw data into meaningful information that drives decisions, this role will suit you well.

- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document and refine data requirements.
- Collect, clean, validate and manage data from multiple systems and sources.
- Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations, and reports using BI/analytics tools.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with governance and security standards.
- Translate complex data structures into clear explanations for non-technical audiences and decision-makers.
- Produce clear, visually compelling insights for non-technical audiences and decision-makers.
- Support data structuring and organisation across systems and connected platforms.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements from business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability with proven experience interpreting complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating data into clear insights.
- High attention to detail with strong data quality and validation discipline.
- Experience with reporting and BI tools (Power BI and Excel BI).
Desirable
- Experience using Python or R for statistical analysis or automation.
- Experience working with Databricks (e.g., notebooks, SQL warehouses, Unity Catalog) for data analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting, or predictive analytics.
- Experience with Azure data services, SQL or cloud-based data stacks.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing and large-volume data handling.
- Experience working within enterprise technology or complex system landscapes.
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration.
- Analytical and solution-focused mindset.
- Able to work independently, take ownership and drive progress.
- Commitment to clean, scalable, well-documented engineering.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in dynamic delivery environments.
